WHITEFISH BAY 鈥?Police evacuated Whitefish Bay High School after authorities learned the school received a bomb threat over the phone Thursday morning.Whitefish Bay police said around 2:20 p.m., the school and grounds were declared safe. Around 10:40 a.m., police were notified of a bomb threat. Evacuation of students and staff were already in progress when officers arrived. The Milwaukee County Sheriff s Department arrived with specialty trained K9 s to search and clear the building and grounds. All students and staff are safe, accounted for and were taken to the middle school while police investigate, according to a letter to families from the Whitefish Bay stanley cup School District. Starting around 11:50 a.m., the school released students who can walk home or get picked up.
