The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a shooting involving a 2-year-old boy that happened just before 4 a.m. on Sunday. Police were called to the area of 26th and Locust where they found the boy with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital for non-fatal injuries. A 40-year-old Milwaukee woman was taken into custody after the shooting. The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney s Office. KENOSHA COUNTY 鈥?Kenosha County residents in the Tiers 1a and 1b of the COVID-19 vaccination schedule are now encouraged to sign up for an eventual COVID-19 vaccination, health officials announced Thursday.That information will help link them with health care providers, when the time comes for them to be vaccinated.Kenosha County Health Officer Dr. Jen Freiheit explains that Tier 1a is the only group eligible to get a vaccine right now. That group includes medical workers, long-term care resi stanley quencher dents and staff, and of this week, firefighters and law enforcement officers.The date when Tier 1b members will start to be vaccinated has not been announced, Freiheit said. That group includes people 65 years or older, frontline essential work stanley cup ers, and people who work in the agricultural industry, grocery stores, USPS, manufacturing, public transit, education and child care.But even though Tier 1b hasn t started, Kenosha County health officials want to be ready when they do. That means gathering contact information for people in the Tier 1b group.
