Med Center Health talks COVID-19 strainsJanuary 26, 2021 Lexi Schweinert, Share This StoryFacebookTwitteremailPrintLinkedinRedditBOWLIN stanley tumbler G GREEN, Ky.- There are now reports of three new strains of COVID-19. Two of those three have made it to the U.S.聽Moderna, one of two companies with COVID vaccines that are being administered in the U.S.,聽 announced that they will be making a vaccine booster shot to protect against one of the new strains that was identified in South Africa.聽Med Center Health has both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, but so far have mainly been vaccinating using the Pfizer vaccine.聽They say they are taking extra precautions to handle the new COVID strains if it would make its way into this region, but that the vaccine should protect against it.聽 What were finding is that the way they work, is they affect a part of the virus called the spiked protein. They dont affect just one part of it, the vaccine actually affects several different places. So if there is a mutation in one part, then the vaccine still should be efficient in efficacy to take care of the rest of it. It just depends on how many different muta stanley cup tions we might see at one time. The goal of the food truck program is to provide soldiers with a quick and healthy food option in training and field environments, and in other locations where it may be difficult to access a dining facility. The food truck phenomenon is exploding in the civilian food service industry, and the Army wants to take advantage of this opportunity to be able to provide it to our soldiers, Primeau said. By Jamie DucharmeOctober 2, 2019 5:00 PM EDTFor months, U.S. health officials have scrambled to determine why more than 800 people have developed lung illnesses and at least 12 people have died due to problems connected to vaping, but reached frustratingly few conclusions. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention CDC last week made its strongest statement yet, saying it believes products containing THC, the main psychoactive compound in marijuana, play a role in the outbreakmdash;but even still, no single substance, product or device has been uncovered as a cause of all cases.Independent analysis conducted by a group of Mayo Clinic researchers may bring investigators closer to a conclusion.
