The dream of a health hub at the Penetanguishene site of Georgian Bay General Hospital GBGH is still alive, despite a recent setback.The hospital was recently asked by the North Simcoe Muskoka Local Health Integration Network LHIN to study the feasibility of running the hub at the site of the former stanley thermos mug Penetanguishene General Hospital.Mayor Gerry Marshall said GBGH was not able to secure funds to cover the ongoing operating costs of the site.
