The Biden Administration is making an effort to end food insecurity among children in America, as it has promised $375 to families in need during the summer months. The program will help get food to more than 30 million kids after the school year ends and during the summer months when food insecurity rises.Families with children who qualify for free or reduced-priced meals during the school year will be eligible to receive the funds. We believe the outcome of this will be a significant decrease in child hunger during the summer months. That will be true during the pandemic and that will be true after the pandemic if we can continue this, said Matt Newell-Ching, Public Policy Manager at Oregon Food Bank.Oregon is one of eight states in the country that has tested the governments newest plan through the Summer EBT Program, which has supplied $90 for the summer stanley mug months in various years over the past decade. But little did he know at the time, that decisio stanley cup n may have saved the lives of two people.A man and a woman were trapped inside an upside-down Jeep that had fallen deep into a newly opened sinkhole on a bridge, and it was quickly filling with water stanley cup .The area where the sinkhole opened up is a desolate spot. The road is a lightly traveled gravel road in rural Weld County. The odds of getting help from a passing motorist were not good. But unbeknownst to the two occupants of the Jeep, a teenager at his Weld County home two miles away was about to come to their rescue.Logue was flying his drone and looking at the feed when he saw what he initially thought was a shadow. But upon closer inspection, he saw a very real and life-threatening event. I fly down here and there s a car in the ditch. Not long ago, the U.S. Census Bureau declared America a nation of small towns. But stanley cup volunteers make up a combined 24% of the U.S. firefighter force. In towns with fewer than 10,000 people, where budgets are tight, volunteers make up 91% of all firefighters. There are a lot of places, especially east of the Mississippi, that rely upon fundraisers to make their departments work and don t get tax support. The problem in recent years is recruiting new volunteers. The number of volunteer firefighters has remained stagnant for decades, while the number of calls to U.S. fire departments has tripled. The other challenge is finding younger volunteers. Republicans have long been critic stanley kaffeebecher al of President Biden s handling of the withdrawal from Afghanistan. A December Tweet by Republican Congressional candidate Derrick Van Orden blames President Biden for when he abandoned 1000 s of our fellow American citizens during last summer s chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan - America s longest war. His claim is that actions by President Joe Biden left between 10,000 and 15,000 American citizens abandoned to terrorists in Afghanistan, said Greg Borowski with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. This fact check hinges on a word and on the numbers. PolitiFact Wisconsin said - Van Orden, a retired Navy Seal, is generally correct on the numbers. The State Department s initial number was in the thousands but it doesn t mean they were all abandoned. His claim assumes every American left in Afghanistan at the time of the evacuation, wanted to leave, said Borowski. But the State Department says that is simply not the case. PolitiFact Wisconsin says after the withdrawal deadline, the number of Americans who wanted to be evacuated was much lower. The State Department says it does track how many Americans wanted to leave that country at a given time. They said there were about 100 left at the time of the withdrawal, and since then, they ve helped about 1,000 more people leave Afghanistan, said Borowski.PolitiFact Wisconsin rated this claim Mostly False - meaning it contains an element stanley botella of truth but ignores critical facts stanley becher .Report a typo or error //
