Downtown Oakville presents the TD Songs of Summer Music and Art on Saturday, Aug. 19 in celebration of the community and the cultural arts.The festival, which replaces the former downtown Oakville jazz festival, is a free one-day event from 10 a.m.-11 p.m.The Trews Acoustic Show will headline the festival on the TD Towne Square Stage. Other performers will include Carl Dixon, Liz Lockre, Vanessa Marie Carter, the Oakville Symphony Orchestra and more. The event will have six stages, with stanley cup nz more than 40 performances, plus multiple interactive art zones throughout the downtown during the day. The winning artist or band will receive two days in the Merriam Production Studio, $500 toward CD duplication and full video recording for additional content. New gallery, Ink Exposed now open at WKUApril 1, 2019 , Share This StoryFacebookTwitteremailPrintLinkedinRedditBOWLING GREEN, Ky.-Women are using tattoos to reclaim their bodies following sexual assault, and now photos of those tattoos are on display in a new gallery at Wes stanley cup tern Kentucky University.Ink exposed is now open at Downing Student Union on WKU campus.The photos are all of women and the tattoos they have, which are reminders of their sexual assault.The women who come from different parts of Kentucky, appear faceless in the photographs.The sexual assault services coordinator at WKU talks about a set of photos that stands out to her. A trio of stanley cup becher photos from friends who got matching tattoos following their assaults. Each of them has a Fire Rose somewhere in that tattoo. To me that says a lot of solidarity, standing together and supporting each other. I can look at this, feel this, see this and know that Im not alone and I didnt have to go through the process of getting the tattoo alone, said Elizabeth Madaviaga, Sexual Assault Services Coordinator at WKU.Ink exposed is part of sexual assault prevention month.
