COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Police in Colorado Springs recently came to the rescue of a bear cub who found himself in a jam, reports CBS Denver.The bear cub was found with a plastic protein powered bottle lodged on its head. Police were called to the scene to try and remove the bottle. But officers were unable to get the large round bottle off the small bears head. CBS Denver reports that the officers decided to place the bear in the back seat of their patrol car. They brought the cub to a nearby fire station for help. Officers pose with bear cub. CBS Denver At the jordan station, a wildlife officer was able to sedate the bear so firefighters could use special tools to remove the protein bottle from the bears head. The bear appeared to be unharmed. According to CBS Denver, wildlife officials tagged and released the bear.
