A Barrie-based organization devoted to four-legged friends is trying to set a few new records.Golden Rescue, one of the nation largest single-breed rescue organizations, is holding its annual Golden Rescue picnic on Sept. 21, and hopes to brea stanley cup k two Guinness world records at the same time.First off, Golden Rescue needs 179 pairs of dogs to set a new record for largest dog wedding. That 358 dogs dressed in wedding attire, and single dogs are welcome to attend to be paired with another. It is expected a cake weighing about 350 pounds will be able to break the current record of 311 pounds. Every pup gets a slice. Should Golden Rescue achieve both these records, it says a generous anonymous donor will contribute $20,000 to the organization efforts.
