Three would-be bank robbers were foiled Jan. 25 by the most basic of crime defences: locked doors.York Regional Police said three men approached the Scotiabank branch at 1700 King Rd. in King City shortly before 4 p.m. The suspects, including one armed with a handgun, approached the doors, but found them to be locked as an increased security precaution.No one was physically injured in the incident.
