Halton police will spend around $2.3 million over five years to upgrade to the next generation of Taser.The Halton Police Board voted during a Thursday, Dec. 14 meeting to enter into a 60-month lease agreement with Taser manufacturer AXON Enterprise Inc., which will see Haltons front-line officers equipped with the Taser 7.In a report presented to the board, Halton Police Insp. Trevor Bradley said the Taser 7 features probes that fly straighter and with more force than the Taser X2 model currently used by Halton officers.
