Jane Fogal, the Citizens Rally for Climate Action drew dozens of local residents armed with signs emblazoned with statements like The Climate is Changing. Why Arent We and There is No Planet B. Almost 200,000 teachers and education workers represented by the four major unions in Ontario, including those in Halton, will participate in a one-day walkout Friday, Feb. 21 in protest of the government cuts to education funding.The job action will affect almost 5,000 schools and 72 school boards across the province.The unions involved include the Association des enseignantes et des enseignants franco-ontariens AEFO , the Elementary Teachers ; Federation of Ontario ETFO , the Ontario English Catholic Teachers ; Association OECTA and the Ontario Secondary School Teachers ; Federation OSSTF .
