NEW YORK 鈥?Miguel Algar铆n, poet, professor and a founder of New York City beloved Nuyorican Poets Caf茅 performance space, has died. He was 79.Algar铆n died Monday at a Manhattan hospital from sepsis, said Daniel Gallant, executive director of the Nuyorican Poets Caf茅.Born in Puerto Rico, Algar铆n and his family came to New York City when he was a child.
