Washington mdash; After nearly 50 years of fighting for the Supreme Court to overturn its landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, the anti-abortion rights movement is on the cusp of claiming victory and is preparing to shift the fight from the nation s highest court to state houses across the country.A draft majority decision from the Supreme Court mdash; circulated in February and confirmed as authentic by the court mdash; indicated the justices stanley cup may be poised to strike down its decision establishing the constitutional right to an abortion. Though the decision isn t final, the nation will know in the coming weeks whether the Supreme Court s conservative majority voted to bring an end to Roe, ushering in a new era of restrictions on abortion access. If the court does overturn Roe, then we are in a position to protect more unborn children, but that means we have to work in 50 state legislatures, which we ve been doing. ADDISON, Texas -- A Texas woman didn t plan to go to dinner and then be scarred for life, but that s exactly what happened she says, CBS Dallas-Fort Worth reports.Karla Whitley was out to dinner with a group at Texas de Brazil in Addison, Texas -- the restaurant where waiters bring out huge skewers of meat and cut them at diner s tables.Whitley was sitting at the salomon table talking with a friend while her server cut a piece of meat for another man at the table. I felt a searing pain, obviously something had happened to my arm, said Whitley.Whitley looked down and saw that the carving knife used by the waiter had sliced into her arm. There s this cut as soon as I look, I see it fill with blood, said Whitley.Whitley still doesn t know how the waiter lost control of the knife. But it s not like I reached out and got in his way. Then I thought did he slice too far, well probably not because the knife fell, said Whitley.Whitley said the manager was apologetic. The restaurant was very nice. I was thinking, they ve cut me and they think I m going to sue, said Whitley, who was left with a two inch wound on her arm.
