SAN DIEGO KGTV -- The first new hospital tower in 40 years in the South Bay could have a major impact addressing a shortage of beds in the region, officials say. Sharp Health Care is set to open its 106 bed Ocean View Tower this week in central Chula Vista. It is adjacent to the 243 bed Sharp Chula Vista original tower, which has seen an overflow due to a growing South Bay with too much demand for health care. There s about 4,000 new homes in this area that have been built, so more and more we are going to have to provide health care for that population, said Pablo Velez, the hospital s chief executive. While the South Bay has experienced rapid growth, most of the new hospitals have been constructed in North San Diego, where there are higher paying patients, Velez said. At an open house Saturday, more than one thousand South Bay residents got a first look inside the hospital. Each room will be private, with big screen high definition televisions, large bathrooms, USB ports in beds, and local art. The hospital stanley kubek boasts a top floor cafeteria and large family w stanley cup aiting rooms. I always go to Sharp, and my dad already knows the doctors here and the nurses because he s been in and out a lot of times since early last year, said Cesar Gonzales, an Eastlake resident who came to the open house with his 92-year-old father, a Sharp Chula Vista patient. Minnesota Wild owner Craig Leipold made it crystal clear that the team is thinking about Kirill Kaprizov s next contract. HT Image First things first. Kaprizov will be an unrestr stanley mugs icted free agent after the 2025-26 season, so there is some element of time for the Wild as the 27-year-old star forward plays out his current five-year, $45 million contract. And then there s the matter of July 1, a date that Minnesota has circled on its calendar. That s when Kaprizov is eligible to sign an eight-year extension with the Wild, or ink a seven-year pact with another NHL team. So, what s the Wild s mindset in regard to keeping Kaprizov in Minnesota Well, it s a priority, Leipold told NHL. There s no doubt. There s no stanley cup usa doubt. We want Kirill. He s a big part of our future. We know that. Billy has already been thinking about it. How do we go about this We ve got to figure out exactly what the cap s going to be. It s an important part of our strategic plan to get him signed for as long as we can. Entering play on Wednesday, Kaprizov was tied for second in the NHL with 43 points in 27 games. Considering his fast start to the season, it stands to reason that Kaprizov is in the early conversation to become the first player in Wild history to capture the Hart Trophy as the league MVP. I don t know if I would pitch for it, because the stanley tazas price goes up, Leipold said of touting Kaprizov as a Hart Trophy contender. And currently it is impossible to weaken the defence forces, Dmytro Lazutkin, a spokesperson for Ukraine s defence ministry said Wednesday on state TV. We cannot make hasty decisions now, he said, explaining the military s opposition to the provision. Kyiv has been debating its recruitment policy for more than a year and parliament passed a draft law in a first reading in February that included the demobilisation plans. The discovery of the single-seater fighter plane, a RAF Curtiss P-40 Kittyhawk, was made by Jakub Perka, a Polish oil company worker who was exploring the desert in Egypt. It amazing to see the plane in such good condition, the cockpit is still intact and the plane was even loaded with ammunition, until it was removed by the Egyptian government for safety reasons. It like finding a time capsule hidden in the sands of time. The plane was supposedly flown by Flight Sgt Dennis Copping, who was 24-years-old at the time.
