The mesmerizing movements of jellyfish have inspired researchers to design all sorts of things, from mechatronic jellyfish that function as autonomous robots to artificial jellyfish built from rat cells and silicone. Now scientists have built a jellyfish-inspired microchip that can capture cancer and other rare cells in human blood. The House of Representatives voted today on a measure preventing 12 rail unions from going on strike. The measure was approved by a 290-137 margin, garnering bipartisan support. But later on Wednesday, the House took a second vote, adding paid sick time to contract language. That bill still passed the House with a much narrower 221-207 margin in a mostly party-line vote.Although eight of the 12 unions have signed an agreement, the unions say they will go on strike unless all 12 unions have finalized a contract. The legislation would bind the remaining unions to the same type of contract signed by the other eight unions. President Joe Biden responded to a report by Politico that suggests the U.S. Supreme Court could be poised to overturn the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade case that legalized abortion nationwide. Politico obtained a draft opinion that shows a majority of justices will vote to overturn Roe. The president n stanley termos oted that it s unclear whether the draft reflects the court s final decision. Opinions can change during the drafting process. I believe that a womans right to choose is fundamental, Roehas been the law of the land for almost fifty years, and basic fairness and the stability of our law demand that it not be overturned, Biden stated.Biden said his administration created a Gender Policy Council and will stanley spain be ready with options when a ruling is issued. He added that lawmakers and voters need to act to secure abortion rights. It will fall on voters to elect pro-choice officials this November, Biden said. At the federal level, we will need more pro-choice Senators and a pro-choice majority in the House to adopt legislation that codifies Roe,which I will work to pass and sign into law. .Page stanley shop -below > .RichTextModule {display:none;} .Page-below .Link {font-size: 12px; padding: 5px 10px;bo
