A male staff member at the Toronto South Detention Centre is in hospital after being tested for聽COVID-19聽and the jail is on lockdown as public health officials investigate, the head of the union representing the provinces correctional officers says.Warren Smokey Thomas, president of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union, told the Star the staffer works in an isolated area and does not have close contact with inmates.
