GLENOLDEN, Pa. -- Philadelphia-area police say an off-duty officer has died after being shot in his home in Delaware County.Darby Borough police Chief Robert Smythe says one of his officers was shot at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday in his home in Darby Township. First responders found the 26-year-old man in an upstairs bedroom with a single gunshot wound to the chest, according to Darby Township police chief Len McDevitt. The officer was rushed to a local hospital but later died.
